Organization
Founded in 2023, SELAH Outreach, Ltd. was formed with the mission to serve those in need locally, domestically, and internationally by consistently serving with compassion.
SELAH Outreach founder, Wendy Frump’s passion for mission outreach started in 1999 after a short-term mission trip to Mexico where she served in the community and with orphans. Kevin and Wendy had just begun dating and discussed their hopes and dreams of someday making service a part of their family. They were married in 2003, built a life together and welcomed four biological children. However, the passion for orphan outreach and service still lingered in their minds, despite not knowing the direction God was calling them to go. In 2015, the family became licensed for foster care and over the next several years were blessed to have several children enter their lives through the foster system. In 2018 they added their youngest son through the foster system.
During this same time, they were exposed to the concept of “Bringing a mission trip home” and hosting children from Ukraine. In 2019 they welcomed two new teen daughters from Ukraine they had met through the program. The mission field was very much in the home at this time. With new children came new challenges along with new languages and necessary therapy and tutoring to make education possible. The children became a part of the family and the desire to begin serving outside the home once again presented itself.
In 2021 the war in Ukraine brought an abrupt stop to orphan hosting, and the need for orphan care and reaching the vulnerable people of Ukraine became much more urgent. As a result of a number of trips between 2021-2023, the family felt led to start SELAH Outreach. Selah means to pause and reflect. Many times during the journey God was saying “wait, listen…. I am in control” God has now planted it on the hearts of the Frump family to form lasting relationships with organizations around the world to serve faithfully and facilitate mission trips for other individuals and families to follow HIS leading on a journey of their own.
